DESCRIPTION
This new 50 Bail rotary was completed in 2023. This shed was extended an extra metre on the eastern side to provide more protection from the elements at cups on. The shed also features an extension to the main building to house a large kitchen area which is attached to a large viewing room. It also features an office, milk room, pump room, vet room and toilet. A fold-down vet platform allows for easy access to cows while on the platform. An underpass allows for easy access into the centre of the shed. The roof is ventilated to allow the hot air out and encourage air movement. There is also a central line of Clearlite to allow the natural light in. Aluminium slider windows also help airflow to keep the shed cool on hot days. The yard work was a collaboration with Mark Duthie Engineering and Preston Engineering. The yard features an automated drafting system, an undercover head bale, multiple holding pens and loading ramp. The yard gate features a Dungbuster system which washes down the yard as it rotates.
